Located on level 2 of the Crown Metropol hotel, the multi-award winning Crown College is equipped with a state-of-the-art training restaurant and commercial kitchen facility Culinarium. Other learning facilities in the College include general purpose training rooms, computer rooms, and a 70-seat auditorium.
In partnership with Crown's Food and Beverage department, Crown College are seeking a passionate, energetic and committed Culinary Trainer, with up-to-date, industry-relevant knowledge and technical expertise.

Description of role:
In partnership with our culinary training team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of training for the Apprenticeship Program Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery); new restaurant openings; up skilling programs for Cooks, Commis Chefs and Chefs de Partie; and compliance programs. You will also be responsible for managing the assessment of all units associated with the Certificate III.
Working closely with Crown's Directors of Culinary Operations Guillaume Brahimi and Neil Perry and reporting to the Group Training Manager for Hotels and Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for the operational management of Culinarium. This includes budget management, occupational health and safety, outlet presentation, kitchen operations and employee performance and presentation. You will also partner with the Group Training Manager RTO to ensure culinary training is fully-compliant to government auditing standards, with paperwork, unit delivery, and assessments.
As Culinary Trainer, you will be an ambassador for Crown College, as well as a coach and mentor for apprentices and Crown employees. You will bring to Crown relevant industry knowledge; marketing and business acumen capabilities; and key industry contacts. Using these skills, you will liaise with key stakeholders to develop a strategy to promote Culinarium and maximise its potential, in order to meet the business' needs. When required, you will also design and deliver programs, such as Master Classes, to select audiences and run information sessions targeted at potential students and industry partners.

What you need:
A passion and drive for training and development in the discipline of cookery
Up-to-date, relevant industry experience, knowledge and business acumen
Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
Current TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification
Demonstrated expertise in developing training material and assessment strategies for culinary training programs
Demonstrated knowledge of AQF
Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
Excellent time management skills
Confident interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
